The MoU aims to support the Thai industrial sector by reducing environmental impacts throughout the supply chain while providing an improved quality of life in line with the government's Bio Circular Green (BCG) economic model. Mr. Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Minister of Industry, along with representatives from the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), and Siam Cement Group (SCG), presided over the MoU signing ceremony which took place at the Grand Ballroom, Century Park Hotel, Bangkok.
"GC continues to effectively initiate projects in response to the BCG model in all dimensions and is promoting the principles of the circular economy in line with the operations of TISI while disseminating knowledge to over 1,200 representatives of industry sectors and business operators throughout Thailand, so they apply these principles in their business operations. In addition, we have initiated follow-up methods and assessments, as well as project implementation to evaluate the effectiveness and potential for further expansion," said Dr. Chaya.
