Backed by its integrated value chain, spanning upstream to downstream petrochemicals, the company effectively manages production and feedstock to ensure consistent delivery to customers as planned, helping mitigate the impact of the current situation.

GC’s integrated petrochemical and chemical business value chain enables flexibility in both production processes and feedstock utilization. This allows the company to adapt to market fluctuations while maintaining the continuity of the plastic industry value chain for its customers.

The majority of GC’s plastic resin production consists of polyethylene (PE), a key raw material used in everyday consumer products such as bottle caps, opaque bottles, jerry cans, water pipes, water tanks, and fishing nets. The company remains committed to maintaining stable operations, prioritizing domestic supply to ensure continued delivery to customers as planned.

GC is also preparing to restart one of its olefins plants in early April following a scheduled major turnaround. This will enhance the company’s ability to produce feedstock for PE resin. In addition, the plant can produce feedstock for polypropylene (PP), which will be supplied to domestic PP producers and partners to help ease tight market demand. PP is widely used in food packaging applications such as ready-meal pouches, plastic bags, and food containers.

At the same time, GC continues to work closely with government authorities, PTT Group, private sector, customers, and stakeholders to monitor the situation and assess potential impacts.
