AIS - GC Leads the Way in driving Sustainable Business Goals with ESG Principles Leveraging the Potential of Digital Intelligent Networks, Elevating Workflow Processes with Green Solution Technologies Aiming to Build a Sustainable Organization Model and Address Environmental Issues holistically.

The shared vision of AIS and GC on sustainable development goals to create value and growth for the business while maintaining a balanced approach in line with ESG principles that encompass environmental issues, social responsibility, and good corporate governance serves, on this occasion, as the basis for the collaboration between AIS and GC. The shared objective is to build an organizational model that sustains business operations in every dimension. This includes leveraging smart networks of IoT and 5G solutions to enhance workflow processes, promote energy conservation, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, ultimately achieving smart operations and environmentally friendly factories. Additionally, knowledge sharing and effective waste management, including e-waste and plastic waste, will be facilitated through platforms that raise consumer awareness and efficient waste management processes that will generate added value in the future.

Mr. Somchai Lertsutiwong, Chief Executive Officer of AIS stated, "Through our business operations, AIS is committed to continuously investing in the country’s digital infrastructure to strengthen its foundation. We aim to introduce innovative communication and digital services that improve the quality of life for Thai people. These services will utilize creative and secure technologies while creating value in driving the digital economy, ensuring digital inclusion for all members of society, and conducting business in an environmentally friendly manner. At AIS, we believe in working collaboratively with our partners, which has allowed us to create value for all stakeholders. Through partnerships, we leverage the strengths of each party to deliver benefits in various areas for the Thai people and the country as a whole."

For example, the collaboration with PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), a global leader in the chemical industry, aims to conduct business activities to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions. This collaboration utilizes the potential of the Digital Infrastructure, or secure digital technology foundations, to drive sustainable business initiatives in the environmental axis. This includes training and developing IoT and 5G Solutions technologies in GC Group's business. For instance, solutions that optimize energy management, reduce carbon emissions and utilize real-time data from IoT devices to make efficient decisions in work planning and production processes. In addition to this, we also develop partnerships and management in handling used materials, e-waste, and plastic waste, through digital platform tools. This is achieved through activities emphasizing consumer engagement, such as the Green University initiative, where we collaborate with universities in Bangkok and its metropolitan area. This collaboration with GC will be a significant step forward in continuing our sustainable environmental initiatives, where both organizations will see even greater results in the future.

Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, CEO & President of PTT Global Chemical (GC), stated, “GC aims to continuously conduct business in a balanced manner across three dimensions: Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), with a focus on Low Carbon & High-Value Business. This is to create true sustainability in our business operations while collaborating with like-minded partners. Today, GC has joined hands with AIS to leverage the strengths of both organizations and advance business and sustainable development through collaborative exploration and operation of digital technology. This aims to conserve energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. For extensive plastic waste management, GC has introduced the YOUTURN platform, which promotes knowledge and understanding of proper waste management practices through campaigns on used plastic waste and e-waste. Furthermore, we support and promote the distribution of recycled products and upcycled goods through online platforms to increase awareness and knowledge throughout society while raising environmental consciousness among the public regarding waste separation and value creation from various types of waste.'

This collaboration will enable both companies to develop their businesses while simultaneously caring for the environment and society, in the capacity of being Good Corporate Citizens and together, to strive for sustainable growth in the future."
