The objective of the event was to ensure that every sector is aware of the value and benefits of reusing plastic according to circular economy principles. After the event, the plastic bottles used for the Christmas tree were given to the YOUTURN Project to produce upcycled trash cans for infectious waste. The Christmas tree was displayed at Siam Discovery Plaza between December 7, 2021, and January 16, 2022. GC GROUP APPLIED SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE TO IMPROVE THE THIRD VERSION OF AN AIR PURIFIER FOR POLLUTION AND PM 2.5, WHICH WAS PRESENTED TO THE RAJAPRAJANUGROH FOUNDATION UNDER ROYAL PATRONAGE On December 22, 2021, the Rajaprajanugroh Foundation Under Royal Patronage received the third version of a pollution and PM 2.5 air purifier. The GC Group applied its expertise to optimize the air treatment device, in collaboration with Associate Professor Singh Intrachooto, Ph.D., an expert in environmental design, who teaches at Kasetsart University. The air purifier was improved to have an appealing design and to be environmentally friendly. GC also worked with Associate Professor Sate Sampattagul, Ph.D., head of the research team on air quality measurement at Chiangmai University on the air quality measurement system and PM 2.5 filter. The effort aimed at solving environmental and air pollution issues in the long term as well as building a prototype for people to build their own air purifiers. The third version of the air purifier prototype uses a 3-layer filtration system and GC’s innovative plastic, made from a mixture of LLDPE and recycled plastic bottle caps through the rotational molding. The device was seamless, extra-durable, and resistant to UV – perfect for extended outdoor use. The UVC disinfection system was added in response to hygienic needs driven by the COVID-19 pandemic. The sensor and PM 2.5 measurement display were also installed to display instantaneous air quality information. 21 BUSINESS OPERATION AND PERFORMANCE CORPORATE GOVERNANCE FINANCIAL REPORTS AND FINANCIAL STATEMENTS APPENDIX MAJOR EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES IN 2021
