Portfolio-driven: reducing GHG by 25% by restructuring future business lines to focus on environmentally friendly low-carbon businesses, such as performance chemicals, biochemicals, green and recycling businesses; and 3. Compensation-driven: reducing GHG by 55% by using various methods and streamlined technologies to compensate for the remaining carbon. The effort is an important milestone for GC in highlighting its “Chemistry for Better Living” concept. GC shared its vision in the “Thailand Minister’s Climate Talk and Business Leaders to Share Vision and Experiences onNet-Zero Transformation” to showcase its commitment in collaborating with the public and private sectors to reach net zero. GC highlighted its use of circular economy principles to run its business and its goal to produce chemical products that are environmentally friendly to improve people’s lives. With its decarbonization goal to achieve net zero goal in 2030 which aligns with the Paris Agreement, GC stives to reduce GHG emission by 20% by 2030 on the way to achieving net zero by 2050.
