COMPENSATION-DRIVEN Huai Mahat Forest Restoration Project certified by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), the project aims to promote private sector participation in the Low Emission Support Scheme (LESS) in forestation efforts. The Eco-Forest Rayong Wanarom Project Is under supervision of the GC Group through GC Estate and is registered as a Thailand Voluntary Emission Reduction Program (T-VER), with the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization, under the forest and green area category. The project aims to plant a sustainable forest under the eco forest principle. It has a greenhouse gas uptake of tons of CO2 equivalents, which is equivalent to planting large trees. Currently, GC is studying Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) as well as new technology access via corporate venture capital, with coordination among the company’s groups, to increase business opportunities. Our carbon capture target is 6.30 million tons by 2050. From 2013 to 2018, the Project showed an uptake amount of tons of CO2 equivalents, anting large trees.
